What does the school do in case of inclement weather?

As a general rule, Winchester follows Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) so when MCPS are closed due to inclement weather, Winchester is closed as well.

When MCPS has any type of delayed opening due to weather, Winchester will open at 10:45am.

When MCPS cancels after-school activities, Winchester will cancel after–school activities and parents must pick-up their child no later than 3:00pm.

In all cases, Winchester will utilize our free Text Alert System to inform parents of schedule changes, cancellations or to provide other important notifications.
