The Winchester School is a gem in Early Childhood Education.

We offer a distinctive pre-school program for 3 and 4 year-olds and a solid educational foundation for pupils in the primary grades.

We complement our academic preparation with fun activities and events offered mostly at the school, or, with our families' support, in our immediate vicinity with the objective of creating a family-like environment where our students will flourish and learn to love the world.

Winchester School's Core

Make the difference At Winchester School, we have developed our academic program with five priorities in mind:

Intellectual  Development

Our instructional program revolves around eight basic categories: language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, Spanish, art, music, and physical education. In each of these areas we teach a sequentially organized curriculum which is age-appropriate. Our main objective is to encourage and challenge our childrena long an individual learning path which will serve as a foundation for the intellectual growth of each child.

Social  Development

At Winchester we strive to create a social environment which  is an accepting, warm, comfortable place for children from diverse backgrounds to be a part of. Our objective is to help children accept and respect the differences in people, learn to share with others, form happy friendships with one another, and generally develop an awareness of what it means to be a positive member of a group.

Winchester School's Program

The Winchester School has a distinctively different organizational class set-up: namely, a rotational system through six centers, in six different rooms, with six different teachers.

All of our students, except for children in the Pre-K3 program who follow an age and developmentally appropriate program under the guidance of a lead teacher in their own room, rotate through six-learning centers throughout the school day.

The learning centers include:

  • language arts
  • mathematics
  • science and social studies
  • Spanish
  • art and music
  • physical education and outdoor play
