FAQs

  • What is the enrollment process?
    Schedule a tour, submit the completed Registration and Admission forms with the required registration fee to secure placement. All other forms can be completed and submitted prior to the child’s first day.
  • How does the school communicate with the families?
    Email is the primary communication channel for updates and announcements. ClassDojo is used for daily classroom life.
  • What is the school’s visitor policy?
    Parents are welcome to visit at anytime provided it does not disrupt the classroom environment or instruction flow.
  • Does the school follow the Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) schedule?
    Our calendar is aligned with minor variations (see above).
  • Are meals and / or snacks provided?
    We offer 1% milk at lunch and two (2) snacks per day.
  • What is the policy for administering medication?
    Our staff is trained in accordance with the Maryland State Department of Education (MDSE) Early Child Care Division. Medical forms must be provided and on-file to administer Prescription and OTC medications. All meds are labelled accordingly and secured in a secure inaccessible location.
  • Is the staff trained in First Aid & CPR?
    Yes, all teachers and the onsite Director are certified.
  • How are injuries handled?
    Minor Injuries – care is provided and an Accident Report is filed for review at pickup and courtesy calls may be provided.
    Medical Emergencies – 911 will be called as well as the Emergency contact on file.
  • What is the school’s illness policy?
    – Children experiencing contagious symptoms: ie. fever, diarrhea, vomiting, pink eye, etc. or have started a course of antibiotics: MUST stay home. Children MUST be symptom-free for 24 hours before they can return.
    – Children with common colds or clear runny noses: without other symptoms are welcome to attend.
    Children who develop symptoms during the school day: The Emergency Contact person on file will be contacted for immediate pickup.
